SOLUTION
for users with Windows XP: delete the file CascadeInfo.cas on C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Autodesk\AdLM\CascadeInfo.cas
for users with Windows Vista/7/8 delete the file CascadeInfo.cas on C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Adlm\CascadeInfo.cas
